Chorizo, Pea & Saffron Risotto

This risotto has a bit of an identity crisis.  On one hand, it has been made with Arborio rice cooked slowly in chicken stock.  Sounds pretty Italian so far right?  But then we flavoured the risotto with, among other things, smoked paprika, saffron & chorizo sausage.  Starting to sound a little bit more Spanish now isn't it?  Our risotto may be a little confused but is very delicious!

chicken stock (chicken, celery, carrot, onion, water, pepper, bay leaf) (45%); arborio rice (18%); chorizo (pork, salt, dextrose, spices, sodium nitrate (251), sodium nitrate (250), antioxidant (316), starter culture) (14%); peas (9%); pecorino (pasteurised sheeps milk, enzyme, lactic starters) (5%); white wine (preservative (220), milk); onion; canola oil; garlic; smoked paprika; black pepper; salt; saffron (less than 1%)

BLAKEAWAY deliveries are facilitated by Home Delivery Service (HDS), one of Australia’s largest national refrigerated courier companies. For local areas within an approximate 5-10km radius of our store locations in Metro Melbourne we generally hand-deliver.

Orders are delivered in our insulated 'disco boxes,' which are fully recyclable and can remain out of refrigeration for up to 2 hours upon delivery.

We recommend refrigerating items as soon as possible after delivery.
Delivery ETA notifications and tracking information are sent via SMS to the mobile number provided with the shipping information during checkout. Please refer to this for notification of your delivery, as the drivers may not knock or ring the doorbell.
